- What is OpenlyTutor?
- OpenlyTutor is a free, student-run peer tutoring service at San Marin High. Classmates help classmates — no fees, no outside company.
- Who can sign up?
- Any San Marin student in grades 9–12 can request tutoring or apply to become a tutor. Tutors use their school email when they sign up.
- When and where are sessions?
- Sessions run on Tuesdays & Thursdays during Learning Lounge, 2:00–5:00 PM.
- Is tutoring really free?
- Yes. OpenlyTutor is run by students for students. There is no charge for getting help or for tutoring.
- How do volunteer hours work for tutors?
- Your volunteer hours are tracked for you. Tutors can earn up to 3 hours per day by leading free sessions for classmates.
- How do I get matched with a tutor?
- Fill out the student sign-up form on the homepage with your name, grade, subject, and preferred session date. We'll have tutors ready to go, and you just have to show up.
